Chris Rock to bring stand-up to Australia

US comedian Chris Rock has announced his first stand-up tour of Australia in nine years.

The Emmy-Award winner has been touring the US with The Total Blackout Tour which he will be bringing here in June.

Rock was last in Australia in 2014 promoting his comedy film Top Five.

Rock has acted in films including Grown Ups, Nurse Betty and 2 Days in New York, hosted the Academy Awards in 2016 and started his TV career on US sketch show Saturday Night Live in 1989.

Tickets for his tour go on sale on March 24.
