Actor Powers Boothe has died. He was 68 and passed away of natural causes in his sleep on Sunday morning at his home in Los Angeles.

Boothe was famous for his deep voice and playing the villain in film and TV such as Curly Bill Brocius in Tombstone and his memorable role in “Sin City” and its sequel.

Boothe won an Emmy for his role in “Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones”.

More recently he was seen in the TV show Agents of Shield after a cameo in The Avengers and his character Gideon Malick was found to be the head of HYDRA.

He wasn't limited to the MARVELverse either as he voiced Gorilla Grodd in the DC animated universe.
