Alert Level: Advice Last Updated: Sat, 30 Jan 2010 15:55:39 +1100 Location: Sardine Creek, CRADLE MOUNTAIN Status: Going Size: 15 Ha News A vegetation fire is burning in the upper catchment of Sardine Creek on February Plains in the Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. PWS have a helicopter water bombing and remote crews suppressing the fire today.
Incident Management Team for this fire and Lake Mackintosh fire is operating from Cradle Ranger Station on Saturday and Sunday, and there will be increased helicopter movements over the Cradle Mountain area.
