More than 40 Remembrance Day services are planned around Tasmania tomorrow to give thanks for the contribution and sacrifice of Australia's defence personnel.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month will mark the 98th anniversary of the end of World War I.

The RSL is urging Tasmanians to pause and mark the occasion wherever they are.
