Elton doubles Hobart fun

Tasmanians are to have another chance to see Elton John in September.

Promoter Michael Chugg announced overnight negotiations with the singer's representatives have secured a second show at the Derwent Entertainment Centre on Thursday 28th September.

"I trusted in Tassie," Mr Chugg said, "I knew they’d bring it home."

"The turnout for tickets on Elton’s first show was fantastic and I’m trusting it will be just as strong for this second one. But it’s really Elton we have to thank for agreeing to go again."

Tickets for the newly-announced concert will go on sale on Monday.

Tickets to the veteran performer's first Hobart show in 27 years sold out yesterday in just eight minutes.
