Tasmania Police is generally pleased with how the long weekend's panning out on the roads where although there's been 1 serious crash, there have been no deaths.

Some of the more extreme cases of drivers breaking the rules has been a 30 year old unlicensed woman caught with a blood alcohol reading 0.169 at Warrane in an unregistered car.

A 62 year old man was arrested in Scottsdale three times over the limit at 0.187.

37 drivers have been charged with drink driving, 707 for speeding.. and mobile phone use while driving has risen to 50, up from 15 during the same period last year.
