A man has died and two people have been arrested following a fight in Sydney's west.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, emergency services were called to a Padstow home to find a 30-year-old man outside with a stab wound to his neck.

He was treated by paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Police have been told three women and a man were at the home when a second man, known to the women, attended the property and a fight broke out.

The man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Bankstown Police Station where they are being questioned by police.
