NSW shoplifting police officer charged

A senior NSW police officer has been charged after allegedly stealing from a hardware store in Sydney's west.

The 47-year-old senior constable, from a specialist command in Sydney, was arrested on May 5 after the alleged incident in Seven Hills.

He is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on June 29.
