Chances are, we all know someone affected by cancer.
In Australia today, there are more than 1.1 million people either living with cancer or who’ve survived a diagnosis. It’s a disease that doesn’t rest, and for that very reason, neither do we.
Daffodil Day’s a great opportunity to bring your colleagues together for a feel-good day of community service. As Cancer Council’s flagship fundraising event, all money raised helps to fund our vital work in research, prevention, support and advocacy. Last year a total of 5.6 million dollars was raised for Daffodil Day.
Help support someone you know by purchasing Daffodil Day merchandise at one of the many stalls in shopping centres AND workplaces around Launceston on the 24th and 25th of August. Pick up one of the pins or pens, the ever popular Dougal Bear, or some fresh Daffodils! Or up for a challenge? Gather your A-team and get involved! Groups of any size can volunteer together, selling merchandise, fresh daffodils and collecting donations.
Volunteering with your team on Daffodil Day has many benefits.
Daffodil Day proceeds go towards Cancer Council’s vital research, support services and prevention programs.
So get involved today. All funds raised in Tasmania stay in Tasmania. To find out more, visit their website.
