Launceston’s community and business leaders will brave the wintery conditions in the state’s north to sleep “rough’ tonight at UTAS Stadium.
It’s the annual St Vincent de Paul CEO Sleep Out, raising awareness and funds for homeless services.
Vinnie’s state CEO Heather Kent says they’ve set an ambitious target of $200,000 dollars statewide this year, which she says is a sign of the need in the community.

“It’s much more than what we usually aim for,” she said.
“It is an aspirational target, but we’ve put it out there. We absolutely need that level of support”.
