It’s been an evening to remember for Tasmania at the City Nation Place global awards in London.
Launceston mayor Matthew Garwood was there to see Brand Tasmania’s ‘Tasmanian Youth Story’ campaign recognised as best for Citizen Engagement while Tourism Tasmania’s ‘Odd Jobs’ campaign won Best Communication Strategy in Tourism.
Launceston Central’s ‘The Lounge’ was a finalist for Best Placemaking Initiative.

Councillor Garwood’s visit to London has been self funded, after being denied permission by the council to use ratepayer funds.
