Wombat Warriors call for action

In an interview yesterday morning with Minister for Primary Industries Jeremy Rockliff, Fairsy questioned why the state government was still issuing culling permits for endangered wombats.

Founder of Wombat Warriors John Harris joins Fairsy this morning to discuss the critical situation our wombats are in. Sarcoptic mange is rapidly attacking the species and John believes not enough is being done to prevent the disease.

Minister Rockliff claimed that despite the decimating disease, the state’s wombat numbers are increasing. In response, John asks the Minister: if this is the case, where are all the wombats?

Wombat Warriors are asking for your help to stop the culling of wombats by signing their petition here.
