Hobart has recorded the largest deflation of all capitals for the September quarter in the latest ABS figures.
The Tasmanian capital’s Consumer Price Index was -1.1%, while the average of capitals saw a rise 0.2% for the three months.
For the year ending September, Australia’s inflation rate wound back to 2.8%
On the theme of cost of living, the Premier headed to the Lenah Valley RSL in Hobart to launch the 24-25 Concessions and Discounts Guide.
“We have $463 million of concessions moving forward to support people in our community, these are tough times, cost of living challenges as we’ve been through over the course of the last couple of years.”
