Launceston’s Junction Arts Festival is back for another year.
The city set to be energized with everything from live music, performance and light shows as the popular four-day event launches on Thursday afternoon in Princes Park.
With the event now in its 14th year, organisers say they’ll be happy if they match the 11,000 that came through the gates last year.
Launceston mayor Matthew Garwood says it’s the sort of event he loves to see in the city.
“Junction brings so many people into the city, including national and international artists, as well as supporting local communities” he said.
“It has family offerings.
“We’re just really stoked to have them here again this year bringing life and vitality to our municipality.”
Gates will open at 4pm in Princes Square with entertainment kicking off shortly after and continuing into the night.
