There’s a new district commander for Tasmania Police in the state’s north.
Commissioner Donna Adams has appointed Marco Ghedini to role, replacing acting Commander Nathan Johnson.
The reshuffle was brought on by the departure of Commander Kate Chambers who transferred out of the role in August.

Commander Ghedini has been with Tasmania Police for 22 years, most recently as the Inspector in charge of the Bridgewater Division where he led the emergency response to the Derwent Valley floods.
He began his career in Burnie and also served as a Sergeant in Devonport.
He begins in his new role immediately.
