Tasmania’s Overland Walking Track is closed for three days due to a bushfire.
The fire’s burning at Canning Peak and is considered a threat to spread to the track in the next one to two days.
Walkers due to set out today ( Wednesday) were prevented, while those north of Windemere have been told to head to Cradle Valley.

Refunds will be on offer for those affected.
The fire broke out on Monday from a dry lightning strike.
