Launceston Council says it’s unacceptable its parking officers are the subject of abuse and aggression.
It’s been revealed more than 120 incidents have occurred in the past 12 months, with many being at random and often without officers even booking offenders at the time of the incidents.
A council report suggests the number of incidents would be even higher, but a number are not reported or actioned.

More than half of the incidents took place in the CBD.
Incidents have included veering vehicles towards officers, physical assaults and even death threats.
