The St Vincent De Paul Society has held a special mass in Launceston to celebrate 125 years of service in Tasmania.
Senior officials from across the state have joined with Catholic Archbishop of Hobart Julian Porteous to mark the occasion at Launceston’s Church of the Apostles.
National president Mark Gaetani has used the occasion to call for more to be done to help with the cost of living crisis, noting the 20 percent increase in demand on Vinnies’ services in just the last two years.
