Five youths – four boys and one girl – are going through the justice process after they were intercepted by police in the Launceston CBD following a string of “egging” incidents in the city.
Police received several calls from members of the public who had eggs thrown directly at them or their vehicles while driving on Friday.
The vehicle the youths were in was intercepted a short time later by police.

The provisional driver and the occupants of the vehicle will be summoned to appear in court at a later date on numerous driving and public order offences.
