Police investigating a spate of arson attacks in a Hobart suburb this week believe they've made a breakthrough.
A suspicious fire did $50,000 damage to a unit on Risdon Road at Lutana on Sunday night.
Less than 24 hours later, another blaze broke out at the same address.
On Tuesday afternoon, crews were back at the property, this time attending a neighbouring flat which had also apparently been targeted.
Police arrested a 27-year-old Lutana man later in the day; he's now been charged with arson in connection with the most recent fire.
Investigations are continuing into the previous two blazes at the other unit.
