Residents of Gagebrook in Greater Hobart are being assured a stabbing at a residence late on Friday night was an isolated dispute between brothers.
A male was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds to his arm.
"Police would like to advise the public that this was an isolated incident occurring in a family home and there was no threat to members of the wider public due to the swift actions of police," said a police statement.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with wounding, destroying property and possesing a controlled plant product.
He was released on conditional bail to appear before a Magistrate on April 19.
