Glenorchy Detectives are investigating a mass car torching at Claremont in Hobart's north on Tuesday night.
Five vehicles went up in flames on Main Road at around 9:15.
Following multiple triple zero calls from alarmed residents, fire crews attended and managed to prevented the flames from taking hold on a carport which was left singed.
Police said as of 9:30 on Wednesday morning no offenders had been charged in relation to the firebombing.
Later on Tuesday night an accidental fire also damaged a shed on Tenth Avenue at West Moonah.
