It's good news for weekend campers - Launceston's Myrtle Park camping ground is reopening from October 22.
The City of Launceston council yesterday voted for a motion which allowed for the reopening - with new operators on site 24-7.
Camping sites will be $20 per night for up to ten people - and 30 sites will be available for people.
Launceston Mayor Albert van Zetten says he expects bookings across the summer holiday period to book out.
Bookings open at 9am Monday October 27 both online and at the Launceston Visitor Information Centre.
Happy campers all around!
