Police in Launceston are hunting two males responsible for a terrifying home invasion at Kings Meadows.
The balaclava-wearing pair forced their way into a Kay Street home around 7.10 am on Wednesday, attacking a 23-year-old woman.
They poured petrol on the woman and her two-year-old son and threatened to burn the house down.
Thankfully, no one was hurt and the pair subsequently fled with a sum of cash.
"Launceston CIB is seeking information from anyone who may have CCTV footage or who may have observed two men in the vicinity of Kay Street," said Detective Acting Inspector John Parker.
"Anyone who has any information in relation to these crimes is asked to call CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestopperstas.com.au."
