A fire in the state's north-east which forced authorities into action over the weekend has flared up again.
The Tasmania Fire Service has issued another Watch and Act alert for the bushfire just off Golden Gate Road at Mathinna on Monday afternoon, which has already burnt through nearly 700 hectares.
"This fire may put Golden Gate Road, Mathinna at high risk now," a TFS statement read,
"This fire will be difficult to control."
Residents nearby are being told to enact their bushfire survival plans and be prepared to leave.
Others outside the area are being told to stay away.
The blaze was already being seen as a warning for Tasmania's parched east coast, which expected to experience very high danger on Thursday - when temperatures exceed 30 degrees.
