More Tasmanian specialist workers are heading north to help clean up after Cyclone Debbie.
In addition to three emergency service personnel already helping, the state government on Wednesday said a further 18 are headed to Mackay on Queensland's central coast, and then to nearby Proserpine and Bowen, to help communities with their cyclone and flood recovery needs.
"Last year we faced our own challenges with severe flooding events devastating parts of the state, and hundreds of wildfires requiring an extraordinary response from our emergency services personnel, including support from interstate," Premier Will Hodgman said, adding that more help is available for Queensland if needed.
