Sometimes classed as Launceston’s oldest teenager with a love of all types of music and at times stuck in the eighties.
I have been entertaining people for years. Obsessed by the microphone kicking my public career off with calling red light specials at the local supermarket at 15 years old. With the best mullet hair do in town, the local roller skating rink was my first crack at being a DJ. The voice of the Monte Carlo and all night skates. As I came of age, nightclubs were a bigger attraction featuring the latest music and MTV video clips. After working at nearly every club in the state and not seeing much daylight I turned my hand to Weddings Parties anything with my own Mobile discotheque business which went on for 26 years.
Getting over being spat on for Jimmy Barnes requests, I turned my hand to radio starting with Community radio and hosting outdoor events as an MC for statewide Triathlon events, calling motocross, Christmas parades, Festivale, Major concerts and many more. After loving my local Radio station 7la am for years seeing it relaunched as LAFM with a whole new sound I just had to be part of it banging on the door nearly everyday until I became a weekend casual announcer.
Now after our previous Drive announcer has moved onto the big smoke on a big city station, I’m here to fill the gap.
Join me weekdays after 3pm and we’ll have a whole lot of fun.
