The Star Theatre, Launceston
Where: 217b Invermay Road, Launceston

Details: Built in 1937, the Star Theatre is an iconic Art Deco cinema in Launceston, Tasmania. It ceased operation as a cinema in 1969 but it was re-opened on the 24 February 2018. Come and see the beautiful Art Modern (late 1930s Art Deco) cinema that has been restored. You are welcome to wander through and have a look at the building, enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine at the cafe/bar, and of course watch a movie!

Exeter Art Studios
Where: Parking off the Frankford highway in the Exeter Show grounds.
When: Sunday, 11th November 2018 – Tuesday, 30th April 2019
Details: A new working arts centre is opening in Exeter. As of 11th November, there is going to be a working community arts studio. Members of the public and tourists are encouraged to visit the various artisans as they work on their own specialised medium in the Exeter Show Hall. The studios are open Wednesday through to Sunday from 9am to 5pm and will continue through to April 2019.

Newstead Athletics Weekly Cross-Country Run

Details: Newstead Athletics hold weekly cross-country events every Saturday in and around the Launceston area commencing on Saturday 30 March, 2019. There are three divisions to choose from with different distances - Div. 3 1.5-2km, Div. 2 3-4km, Div. 1 5-12km. Races are handicapped depending on performance potential so everyone has a chance to win. Further information and full program available at

Penny Royal Easter Egg Hunt

Westbury Market
Where: Lonsdale Promenade, opposite the Village Green, Westbury

Tassie Drum Circle

Tam-O Shanter Golf Club Fun run
Where: Tam-O’Shanter Golf Club, clubhouse - 19 Fairway Ave, Lulworth,
How to get there: The Tam O’Shanter Golf & Community Club is located on the northern coastline of Tasmania approximately one hour’s drive from Launceston. The clubhouse and course can be accessed from the Scottsdale/Bridport Main Road, with the turn off approximately 400 metres east of the Pipers River General Store. After approximately 9.2km turn left into Tam O’Shanter Road. After 2.5km turn right into Fairway Avenue. The golf club is on your left.

Details: While this is not a master’s event, we encourage you all to experience this great little spot
Distances 2.5km, 5km and a short fun kiddy race too.

Combined Churches Easter Sunday Celebration
Where: St John's Church, Launceston

Details: Come join churches from various denominations in celebrating the champion of champions!
